Warner Bros has released a first photo of British actor Henry Cavill as Superman in Man of Steel, the Zach Snyder lead reboot. Cavill will star with Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Michael Shannon, Antje Traue, Julia Ormond, Russell Crowe, Chris Meloni, Harry Lennix and Laurence Fishburne.
Man of Steel is slated for release in 2013.

Well that picture doe not sell me on Cavill as Superman.

Like the Spiderman reboot, I am bit fatigued with seeing yet anther Superman origin story, however, I am feeling a bit more optimistic about this film despite the above picture than I am of Spiderman.

I really don't know why, but I have not been keen on any of the attempts to revive the Superman franchise. I haven't seen much of the Routh films and just never felt like I needed to.

Despite being THE superhero of superheroes, I'm just not that into Superman. (Outside of the animated series'. Those I liked a lot!)

He looks like Evil Superman.

The problem with Superman is simply that there's not much character to draw on, unless they re-write his origins or perhaps his discovery of his superpower.
