The new HBO series, based on the best selling novels airs April 17th.



The scale of the thing looks pretty epic!

This one could be good. It's been described as "the Sopranos in Middle-earth". I think this is HBO's first attempt at the pure fantasy genre. One executive there said they have a new outlook to do "shows that we wouldn’t have taken a shot at five years ago" so there may be more goodness (or at least oddness) to come.
