Amazon LinkOnce more into the fray with our favorite undead Private Detective Felix Gomez. Kama Sutra is the third book in the outstanding Vampire series by Mario Acevedeo. This time Felix finds himself trying to solve the murder of Gilbert Oldon, an extraterrestrial who hired him in the first book The Nympho’s of Rocky Flats. Oldin gives Felix a cryptic message as he dies…..Save the Earth Women.
Felix soon finds himself plunged into a large conspiracy involving yet another alien.
The book retains its detective style story telling of the previous works and the E.T’s are kind of like the E.T’s in Men in Black. Disguised and freely mingling among us. The alien angle is not over done or done in a silly manner, rather its written manner that fits into the world Mr. Acevedo has constructed with his series and works rather well.
I found it interesting that the Aliens have no idea what the hell a Vampire is and in fact thought that Felix and his fellow Vampires where aliens themselves. Logical!
Fast paced and filled with the same type of casual Vampire blood sucking, its always interesting to see how Felix handles his Vampire powers and needs. Most Vampire books, movies, etc treat Vampires as evil beings bent on killing humans in some manner.
Felix Gomez in not a bad person at all, he is just trying to live life and earn a living while dealing with the fact that he got turned into a Vampire. His Vampire powers do very much come in handy for a Private Detective and Felix is not shy about using them when he can.
Anyway, back to the book. Kama Sutra is just a good as the previous works and has an interesting twist in the end that leaves you wanting the next book in the series and speaking of that, the Author has told me that he is contracted to write books four and five and that he is hard at work getting the fourth book, Jailbait Vampire, completed.
If you are a fan of the Vampire genre, you really need to check this series. The writing style of Mario Acevedo along with great characters makes for a very enjoyable reading.
I will rate Undead Kama Sutra a solid 4 out 5 missing Earth Women.
