I got this Samsung Bluray Player from Newegg.com and I cant get over how freaking cool it is.

I can stream anything from my PC to my TV, I can do instant watch Netflix, I can do 3D Blu-ray, I can check the weather, news, Facebook and Twitter from my TV. I can access to internet radio thru Pandora and I can make my own music stations.

I can play media from a USB thumb drive, camera or video cam.

I can play Texas Holdem

I can stream pictures from my PC in a slide show on my TV to bore guests with.

Now when I download things like Doctor Who, I no longer have to burn it to a disk to watch it on my TV, I can simply stream it on over.

Amazingly, streaming works very well across my wireless network. I feared it would stutter or have other problems. But it works great.

Oh.....and it plays Blu-ray's and loads very fast.

The best part is that I got it for $180 from Newegg.com on a Pre-Black Friday sale and they shipped it me to free in 2 days.

Now I can finally watch that 1st Season TOS Star Trek Blu-Ray set I won from Trekweb.....woohoo!!!

Do you have to run something on the PC to "stream" the videos or does the player connect to a network share?

Pretty smart for Samsung to put all those media PC feature in a disc player. The age of the media center is just about here and if they didn't do something like this they'd end up getting shuffled off to the side.

Nope, just make sure file sharing is on in the PC so the Blu-ray can access your music, video and picture folders.


Oh and we just discoverd that we can play our entire itunes library thru the BD player into our home theater system......very swank!!

Do you remember texting on phones before they had keyboards?

Basic same method only a little easier.

I see that Sony has a BD player that comes with a full keyboard on the remote......crazy!
