Have a comment about a recent episode? Have a suggestion for a future topic?

As always you can send an email to podcast (at) jonja.net or leave a voice mail at (724) 566-5251, but if neither of those options suit you, then leave you comments or suggestions here.

I want to tell you guys; Timelord, Scorpiuscat and anyone else that's helping out here, that I really like what you guys have done here at the site. I came here originally as a former 3DGPU'er but you guys keep me coming back and it's more frequent lately. Keep up the good work guys. I've enjoyed seeing this site start up from nothing to become what it's at today.

I do have to throw in something negative though because it happened right after I posted my last post above. I totally appreciate the fact that you guys need to gain revenue to pay for bandwidth, hosting costs, etc, but that full screen ad that pops up in the forums sometimes is annoying because it doesn't throw anything at me that I want to click on and I mostly just want to make it go away when it comes up. I've tried to run a couple websites myself so I totally understand the revenue side of it and especially the difficulty of bringing it in. I've seen in some forums where ads were put in between forum posts which weren't quite as obtrusive. I can live with the current ads because I love the site. Just an opinion.

Awesome of you to say! Thank you very much. As far as the ad, yes I know. Not my favorite thing either. We have it set to be as unobtrusive as we can. With luck somewhere down the road we can come up with some better revenue options.

Re: Episode 36

It was nice to hear that my forum comments about 'Super 8' were supported by Floyd. However, I have to disagree with Floyd's assessment of the language used by the teens in the movie. To my knowledge, no one drops the f-bomb (teen nor adult.) I think 'sh*t' gets uttered once or twice, during the now-well-publicized train derailment. Other than that, I didn't feel the kids were being too salty.

I hope you will give 'Super 8' a look-see. And yes, I appear in the movie. I'm in the Town Hall scene, seated in the last row to the right of the center aisle. As the meeting lets out, I follow Deputy Lamb (Kyle Chandler) out of the building. After Lamb yells across the street to another deputy, I asked about the electricity. There were more lines to the scene, but it was edited short. Still, the filming earned me SAG-eligibility, so I can't complain.

I can't remember which scene it is, but the f-bomb is definitely used. At any rate, I'll have to watch it again to catch your scene!

Guess I'll need to watch it again to find out which scene it's in.

I haven't heard you guys review this seaon of Torchwood so I going to assume you're all disappointed. The first two episodes dragged on a bit for me but when they 'burned' a character it quickly turned around for me. The american cast was a bit iffy -Mekhi Phifer always plays someone angry. In ER his character was also weary of homosexuals- but they (him included) is starting to grow on me except for Bll Pullman who reminds me of Frankenstein. Jack however doesn't seem to be affected by last season when he killed his (great)?grandson.

Any thoughts on Torchwood: Web of Lies.

I have not seen any of it to be honest. I do not get Starz. I've heard hot and cold from others who have. I'm hoping to talk about it in a future episode when we have a guest that has seen it.

We will be adding a new segment to the podcast. This will be announced in the next episode but just to give anyone interested a heads up,

Every now and then we will choose a popular classic sci-fi film to watch and discuss. We will be choosing titles that are relatively easy to get a hold, rental, purchase, etc. Titles that are loved by many but maybe we haven't watched in a while or maybe a film or two that we might consider hidden gems.

We will be discussing the film Forbidden Planet in an upcoming episode.

If you have anything you'd like to share about this film please leave a comment here or better yet send us an email (text or audio), or leave us a voicemail!

This is one of my earliest favs more so cause Anne Francis was the cat's meow...and it also reminds me of a Dr. Who episode.

Interesting comment about it being like a "Who" episode. Never thought of it like that but you are right, it does!

If there is anyone else that wants to chime in, post here, send an email to podcast (@) jonja.net or best yet leave a voice mail! 724-jonja-51.

We have been posting regularly every two weeks. Might want to check your feed catcher.

(I did stop posting in the "episode guide" on the forum if that is what you mean)
