Just watched it. I haven't seen the original. This one was enjoyable - not particularly remarkable, but a few beers and friends enjoyable.

Morning after thoughts - I don't think Colin Farrell made a particularly good vampire. Anton Yelchin (sp?) did fine. David Tennant stole the show IMO. I would file it under "if you don't treat it very seriously, it's entertaining". I don't think I'll own it on DVD.
