The Possession

Clyde (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Stephanie Brenek (Kyra Sedgwick) are recent exes trying to raise their daughters. When the youngest, Em, becomes oddly obsessed with an antique wooden box she found at a yard sale, the two see little cause for alarm. However, as Em’s behavior becomes increasingly erratic, the parents fear the presence of a malevolent force. This leads them to discover that the box was built to contain a dibbuk, a spirit originating from Jewish folklore that inhabits and ultimately devours its human host.



The Possession was directed by Ole Bornedal and is slated to hit theaters on August 31.
