Fox Reality has given the go ahead for the new reality TV show THE SEARCH FOR THE NEXT ELVIRA.

The Mistress of the Dark, played by Cassandra Peterson, will help host the series which will feature thirteen constestants who will be picked from a casting call held on the Queen Mary ship on July 13th. Episodes will be being airing in mid-October and the "new" Elvira will be announced on Halloween night.

Peterson told the Hollywood Reporter, "There are simply too many ghastly engagements for one Mistress of the Dark to entertain. I am searching for someone to share my tricks with -- someone to help spread the Halloween spirit."

Queen "B" Productions, Panacea Entertainment, and Natural 9 Entertainment will produce the program. Cassandra Peterson will executive produce.
