From SCI FI Wire:
12:00 AM, 18-JANUARY-08

John Hensley told SCI FI Wire that he just completed Shutter, a remake of a 2004 Thai ghost film. "It will be scary, and good," Hensley said.

Hensley (TV's Nip/Tuck) co-stars with Cursed's Joshua Jackson and Transformers' Rachael Taylor, who play a newlywed couple.

"I'm a friend of the couple, and they are all haunted by ghostly images that they see in photographs that are developed after a tragic accident," Hensley said. "And this group of friends come together to try to help them. The friends are reunited in Tokyo, and then things begin to happen."

The remake was shot in the Japanese capital. Roy Lee (The Ring) produced, along with Doug Davison (The Grudge) and Takashige Ichise (who did both the American and the Japanese versions of Dark Water and The Grudge).

Shutter also features Heroes' James Kyson Lee, as well as David Denman (Fanboys), Natalie Okamoto and Albert Smith.

The film is directed by Masayuki Ochiai (Infection) and was written by Luke Dawson. Shutter is expected to have a late-March release date.

Hensley can next be seen in the independent SF sex satire Teeth, which opens Jan. 18. --Mike Szymanski

Considering the not so great US remakes of Asian horror films, that is a big promise to make.
