Dimension Films has bought SHIVER by Mikey Wigart. Michael Cuesta will direct and produce.

The thriller is based on a true story of a group of New Year's Eve revelers who are stranded in a Minnesota snowstorm. They stumble upon a home occupied by a widowed doctor obsessed with torture as scientific study.

Based on a True Story?

Well it actually sounds pretty good. A very interesting idea for a movie and at least not a remake of "My Mother the Car" or some other old tv show.

Kinda hits on that Hostel (?) doesn't it?
Wasn't that whole idea that people are trapped and are tortured play things for someone?
