Roger Avery and Neil Gaiman are writing the horror romance BLACK HOLE for Paramount Pictures. The script is based on a 12-issue comic book written and illustrated by Charles Burns.

The story follows a group of high school students whose lives are altered drastically when they come in contact with a sexually transmitted disease called the "teen plague" or "the bug."

Alexandre Aja will direct. MTV Films, Plan B and Kevin Messick will produce.

I dont know, a horror film centered around an STD? :?

It is MTV films after all. Anyone who is able to watch MTV and not kill themselves are either the type to not get scared from anything, or sad, vapid trendwhores that STDs are the only thing in the world of their friends with benefits circle are afraid of.

Sounds like a great idea for a film!

The graphic novel that it was based off of (commonly called a comic book as well) was featured on NPR during an interview with the creator.

Needless to say it isn't anything near what most people will expect from a "comic book" and does live up to the title of a graphic novel. In some parts, well a lot of parts, it is very Kingish.

I personally am hoping that they make a movie, or three parter, out of Y The Last Man.

Sorry. I should have been more specific.

The reason you would like to see 'Y, The Last Man'. What is it about?
(The title tells me a little bit, but...)
