OK, I'll admit to being a little surprised with this development. Apparently Sanctuary is returning this fall to SyFy.
I hope they start to take advantage of the opportunities they have let fall to the wayside. I really think they have lost some focus over the years. The can create any world they want with their CGI heavy filming method and most of the last season was very "practical" in sets and more importantly in story.
I'm the first to admit that I prefer sets over green screen, but when you sell the very idea of the show as being able to use the effects and create a fantasy world, darn it, do it!

They sang? They actually did a "musical" episode? Ugh... I don't know. If they had been consistently fun and interesting in the previous episodes I'd have given them this one. Fringe did it and I thought it was awesome! Sanctuary,... not so much. This is a show the wife and I watch together and I've never counted it as anything other than family entertainment, but I'll admit that once it does inevitably leave the airwaves I don't think I'll miss it much. Amanda Tapping, yes, but the show.. No, not really.
