That's probably not fair (and I admire the attempt to resurrect such vintage scifi) but that's what people are going to think.

Did you guys see the SyFy channel John Carter flick, Princess of Mars? Despite being a dreadful low budget flick (which even an aging Traci Lords could not redeem), it was still surprisingly watchable, which I think is almost entirely due to the story itself. If the movie sticks close to the book, it may be pretty cool, in spite of everything Disney does to try and wreck it. Burroughs knew how to spin a good popcorn yarn.

I saw a full trailer in 3D on the big screen and this movie looked freaking awesome, that Super Bowl trailer dosent even look like the same movie.

This movie has moved onto my must see in theaters list, I was blown away how awesome it looked.
