Into this!

I was a bit worried about going away from ff and back to a crop camera, but apart from having less DoF control the image quality is actualy better in some ways.
1) 16mp (With weak AA filter) v 12mp (with strong AA filter) means it captures alot more details.
2) iso 80 allows the camera to capture amazing amount of dynamic range (Way more than the d3). You have to shoot raw and push the shadows but... push them you can!
3) similar high iso noise.
4) in body image stabilisation, non of my nikon lens had VR so that would have been an expensive upgrade. (works in video to!)
5) 1080p video which is really sharp and lots of dynamic range (adjust jpg settings to get the best out of it)
6) the ability to shift the sensor to capture image data from other parts of the lens/scene without moving the camera)
as for the non image stuff, the body is much smaller and just as well built (in my opinion), the focus isn't as sophisticated (no 3d tracking.. less af points) but its much better than pentax's other units and feels just as accurate and as snappy as the nikon and works well in low light to.
And to go with the new camera my wife got me a new bag!... (and i got some new lens and flash blabla) So all this...

I still have lots of other stuff like old m42 lens, manual flash, radio triggers.. studio flash's stands blabla as well as a gf1 and the old gx10 body.. I can't believe that the first time I ever seen anything about lens was on 3dgpu. And I remember thinking.. my god, how can someone spend so much on a piece of glass. Now I understand.. and look what has happened.
