Last October Nokia sued Apple claiming the iPhone used Nokia tech. without paying for it. Apple has since counter-sued claiming the newest Nokia smart phone is infringing on 9 of it's patents.
The International Trade Commission says it will investigate and rule on both sets of charges. The trade body will set a target date for completing its probe with 45 days after beginning the investigation.
Nokia, despite being the largest mobile phone maker, has had trouble taking hold in the smart phone market while Apple has tremendous success with it's iPhone.
