As many of you know, I won the Trekweb contest that landed me a copy of the first season of remastered TOS Star Trek on Blu-Ray.

And here I am "loving" it.....tee hee

Blu-ray sucks for quality though, my old VHS is much better, especially all of my tapes that I've watched after leaving them out in the car in the hot sun to "heat-condition" them.

This is the second email notification I've gotten for this thread with no apparent new posts, are we getting hit by spammers which are then getting deleted???

No big deal, just an FYI I guess...

Yeah, the occasional spammer just posts in random places it seems and when I delete thier accounts it takes all their posts with it.

I think you just wanted to see me loving the Trek Blu-ray set again

I don't have a Blu-Ray player but since your post I have had the opportunity to see this for myself and can agree that the remastered, hi-def, vfx enhanced Star Treks are a thing of beauty to see in this new format.

I didn't really care which hi-def DVD format won the format war. I didn't care if either did. But now that it's all over, if that money tree ever starts growing in my back yard, I may have to get me a Blu-Ray player.
