I think I should be getting a new hard disk enclosure as the "ICY BOX" one I own is mis-reading partition information a little too often, so then I have to use the internal drive caddy, which is no good if the disk is dying.

The enclosure needs to be more sturdy as I am regularly connecting and disconnecting different disks. It also needs to be mains-powered (though I don't think I have a choice about this).

I was thinking USB2 would be the best option, but I've just remembered that my board can do firewire. Any thoughts/suggestions?
