It t'was a joke. Mainly pointing out that Zombie shows can be silly at times.... but this isn't one of those shows.
Anyway....
I admit, I was caught off guard about Sophia. They gave me just enough (the half eaten tuna fish, the doll) to hope she had found her own way to survive this mess. Sadly no.
But now we have to ask: what exactly was farmer Herschel playing at? Was he just hoping Rick would give up and move on? Was it that simple? And did Maggie know? I'm guessing she did not.
One of the great things about this show is that the writers seldom take the easy way out. Lesser writers might have had Rick's group packing up to leave after the horrible events in this episode. Turning the page so to speak. Not this show. They are staying at the farm (at least in the next episode) and are going to deal and deal hard with all the messy consequences.
