Yep, that was definitely two thirds of a pun (PU)
Anyway, I misspelled it, it should be Glomerulonephritis.
In answer to your query, Scorp, it is actually a immune response to the original infection,
which appears to have been Staphylococcus in the intestines.
My immune system went overboard and released a firestorm of antibodies that clogged the
glomerulos, or the little tubes in my kidneys.
Everything went to hell from there.
But everything seems to be starting to get better, although the treatment is as bad
as the disease.
My blood pressure is slowly returning to normal, so the meds are being backed off.
Kidney function is comeing up slowly, but the Docs say it could take a year or more.
But I bought myself a get well prezzy.
Nikon D5100 camera with 18-55, 70-300 lenses, a few filters, some assorted special effects lenses
cases, tripods, etc.
That, and I am back to work full time now
