I was intrigued by this poster for the (hopefully) upcoming reboot of Space:1999.

Then I ran across this model someone created before the new series was announced.

They look very similar. Do you like the Eagle redesigned this way? The only problem I have with the model-looking Eagle is that the superstructure on top doesn't seem to have a purpose.

Yeah, one of the cool things about the Eagle was the exchangeable units between the cockpit and the engine. Lose that and then it really isn't an Eagle.

It looks like the middle (rectangular) part is modular, albeit not as large as the OEM Eagle.

Gotta say that this is not doing anything for me, it just looks like change for the sake of change and that always tends to S***.

Still, I am on board with a Space 1999 re-boot....lets do this thing 8)
