I caught CW's new series "Arrow" the other night and I was quite impressed. It, of course, tells the story of the Green Arrow. I've never read the Green Arrow so I'm not sure how true the backstory in the series is to the comic but I liked it. It is very dark but lots of fun. The following from the first episode made me laugh out loud:

Oliver's Friend: She looks the chick from Twighlight.
Oliver: What's Twighlight?
Oliver's Friend: It's better if you don't know.

And another one:
Oliver's Friend: And in Lost, they were all dead.

Gah! I kept looking to add this to the DVR, but it was too early and couple of weeks out then I forgot about it.
I'll try and catch up on it. I've heard from a couple sources that it was pretty good.

Although not a huge fan of "comic book / super hero" shows, I'm actually rather enjoying this show. My cable company is feuding with the local CW station, so I have to switch back to my old roof antenna to watch it, but it does remind me of how good broadcast HD looks compared to cable.
