"Denver Police Detective Jack Tate never thought that investigating a prostitute's murder would cause him to lose his identity, money, home, job and friends, especially in the mid-21st century, with its unparalleled electronic security and efficiency. The journey he must undertake to regain his life leads him to radical anti-technology terrorists and an attractive research scientist whose invention may be the motive behind the murder. Branded as a criminal, battling homelessness, and with few leads, Jack must pool his resources with unexpected allies to discover the true nature of his predicament and prepare for the ultimate confrontation inside the enemy's lair."
Jonja.net reviews this inventive and maybe just a bit prophetic novel.

Jonja.net reviews and discusses the new film from Duncan Jones, Moon.
This is Duncan Jones' first feature film, and it doesn't show. Coming from the son of David Bowie and whose past work mainly consisted of commercials and music videos you would expect a frenzied short attention span film or for it to be way too far out there to make much sense. Moon is neither of these things!

Matthew Willig has had unusual career. He spent 14 years playing football for the NFL - even going to the Superbowl twice - but was forced from the field by a knee injury. What to do next? Willig decided to pursue an interest he'd only had time to dabble in before - acting.
Jonja.net had a great conversation with Mr. Willig. He talks about his unlikely path to acting, how he particularly enjoys being cast against type, and of course his role opposite Jack Black and Michael Cera in the comedy "Year One".
Listen to the interview then join us in the forum to talk about "Year One" and what Matthew Willig will be doing next.

I pick my top 10 favorite Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes!
Why? Good question!
Answer, Why not!
I have purposefully not done this for a couple of reasons. Mainly because out of 7 years of episodes, how can I possibly narrow it down to 10? Well I finally made the effort and have compiled them here.
Read more to see list and if you like, leave your comments and your favorite episodes!

WOULD you like to own this little piece of the moon?
Depending on which time zone you happen to be in, 20 or 21 July 2009 sees the 40th anniversary of the first moon landing.
New Scientist competition to celebrate that historic event offers a rare and fabulous prize for the winner: a scrap of genuine moon rock.
The competition is simple to enter. You will doubtless know the words relayed from Neil Armstrong when he stepped off Apollo 11's lunar module and onto the moon itself: "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."
Can you think of something better for him to have said - something even more memorable, or perhaps something funnier?
